Job summary

Sembcorp is seeking a driven analyst to join the Power Portfolio & Strategy team in Singapore. You will support commercial decision-making, portfolio optimisation and cross‑commodity analyses across thermal generation, renewables, gas and retail portfolios.

The role offers exposure to both physical and financial energy markets and cross‑commodity optimisation. The position focuses on pricing, hedging, commercial structuring and market analysis to maximise portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Energy Management or related field.
• Up to 3 years of relevant professional experience; fresh graduates welcome.
• Experience or exposure in energy, utilities, commodities, trading support, portfolio management or related fields is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support integrated portfolio management and optimisation across thermal, renewables, battery, gas and retail portfolios.
• Analyse portfolio exposures, pricing structures and cross‑commodity opportunities across physical assets and derivatives.
• Conduct pricing, sensitivity and scenario analyses, and maintain valuation models and tools.
• Support hedging, portfolio risk management with respect to energy, fuel, emissions and FX exposures.
• Prepare pricing models, deal summaries and management papers; coordinate due diligence and approvals.
