Job summary

Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) is seeking a policy-focused professional to conduct rigorous research, analyse resource policies and prepare policy papers for government stakeholders. The role involves engaging businesses to advance resource efficiency and emissions reduction initiatives.

The appointed candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, develop incentives, and present recommendations to guide policy decisions and industry planning in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Degree in Economics, Science, Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Interest in policy development and hands-on implementation.
• Strong written and verbal communication for non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize information.
• Good stakeholder management and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, positive attitude and professional work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, data analysis and provide recommendations for planning and policy decisions on Singapore's resources
• Prepare concise policy papers and presentations for management and government stakeholders
• Develop, manage and review resource efficiency incentives to support business needs and policies
• Prepare communications to businesses on Singapore's resource policies
• Engage companies to implement resource efficiency and emissions reduction projects
• Engage industrial real estate developers and energy services firms to identify business solutions
