Job summary

The Economic Development Board (EDB) Singapore seeks a capable analyst to identify and develop sustainable growth sectors for Singapore. You will conduct in-depth industry studies, scan global trends, and design interventions in collaboration with government agencies.

Qualifications

  • Background preferably in Economics, Environmental Science, Sustainability Management and/or relevant interdisciplinary field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably related to environmental sustainability; project/business development experience will be a bonus.
  • Ability to pay good attention to detail and undertake programme management work independently.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, critical and lateral thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability and experience in engaging and managing both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams and multiple workstreams to deliver outcomes effectively and efficiently.
  • Possess a self-motivated and positive attitude, excellent work ethic and is a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Sense and analyse: conduct in-depth industry studies to uncover emerging green growth opportunities; map value chains and assess Singapore's ecosystem.
  • Horizon scanning and prioritisation: continuously scan global trends to identify growth sectors and determine relevance for Singapore.
  • Develop and execute: recommend interventions and coordinate with government agencies to position Singapore to win in identified sectors.
  • Stakeholder management: work with internal and external partners, support meetings, and align on priorities.
