Job summary

ByteDance Singapore is seeking a Senior Platform R&D Engineer for its recommendation system. You will design toolkits to improve R&D efficiency and build release strategies that are metrics-driven for safe deployments.

You will also enhance observability, create end-to-end tracing, and develop toolchains that accelerate algorithm development to deployment, while evolving platform architectures with data-driven assistants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale systems.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go/Python/C++) and solid data structures understanding.
• Ability to independently lead the technical design and implementation of complex systems and components.
• Strong product sense and ability to balance priorities across requirements, timelines and quality.

Responsibilities

• Design intelligent development toolkits for large-scale recommendation systems to enhance R&D efficiency.
• Develop business metrics-driven gray release systems for safe and efficient releases.
• Enhance observability of recommendation systems across multi-region and multi-data center environments, with end-to-end tracing.
• Build toolchains to accelerate end-to-end process from experimental algorithm development to deployment.
• Overhaul platform architectures and develop data intelligence assistants.
