Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or closely related field.
• Experience applying plasma processes to semiconductor devices.
• Strong experimental design and DOE capabilities.
• Hands-on tool experience with SEM, film/thickness, and plasma diagnostics.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize plasma etch and CVD processes to meet targets for film properties and performance.
• Generate detailed process specifications and operational windows for next-gen reactors.
• Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate components like showerheads and gas delivery.
• Develop new process regimes to enhance reactor capabilities for advanced nodes.
• Design and execute DOE experiments to identify defects and plasma instability.
• Select materials and precursors for new gas chemistries and ensure compatibility.
• Apply metrology and diagnostic techniques (OES, mass spec) to characterize plasma.
• Work with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
