Job summary

Wecruit Pte Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to lead preventive maintenance for plant equipment and oversee building facilities and utilities. The role involves troubleshooting electrical and control systems, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with EHS standards.

You will prepare technical reports, manage spare parts, and drive continuous improvements across equipment reliability and safety. This position is based in Singapore and requires hands-on technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and execution of preventive maintenance programmes for plant equipment.
• Oversee routine, corrective and ad-hoc maintenance activities for building facilities, utilities and plant systems.
• Conduct and guide technical troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation and control systems, including PLC, SCADA and HMI, to minimise equipment downtime.
• Evaluate and support new equipment installation, commissioning, system upgrades, feasibility studies and technical planning.
• Coordinate contractors and service providers, monitoring work progress, technical standards, safety practices and timely completion of maintenance and repair activities.
• Prepare, review and maintain technical reports, approval documents, work instructions, training materials and submissions to relevant authorities.
• Oversee spare parts procurement and inventory management, including supplier evaluation, quotation comparison, price negotiation and ordering.
• Work with the Technical Department to implement EHS initiatives, conduct risk assessments and maintain compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Identify maintenance risks and recommend improvements to equipment reliability, safety, cost efficiency and operational performance.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to engineers, technicians and other relevant personnel.
