Job summary

Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd (Eastern General Hospital) seeks a Physiotherapist to deliver care across Musculoskeletal, Cardiopulmonary, Neurology and Geriatrics, providing evidence-based treatment and ensuring patient safety. You will assess, plan, and deliver individualized therapy with strong clinical reasoning.

You will monitor progress, document outcomes, participate in rounds and education, and supervise learning of staff and students within a dynamic hospital setting in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor/Master/Doctoral Degree in Physiotherapy.
• Meet registration requirements with Allied Health Professions Council.
• Good communication, interpersonal and patient handling skills preferred.
• Ability to speak more than one language or dialect preferred to liaise with dialect-speaking patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy services to patients in Musculoskeletal/Orthopaedics, Cardiopulmonary, Neurology and Geriatrics.
• Assess patients in a logical, sequential manner and generate hypotheses.
• Analyse patients’ problems with sound clinical reasoning.
• Plan and deliver individualized treatment, reflecting current evidence and ensuring safety and effectiveness.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality.
• Participate in ward/unit rounds, clinics, meetings and research/work-improvement activities.
• Contribute to departmental clinical education and training.
• Supervise and facilitate learning of support staff, students and junior staff as required.
• Oversee Therapists/assistants to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Job Description

• Provide physiotherapy services to patients for optimal recovery in areas including Musculoskeletal/ Orthopaedics, Cardiopulmonary, Neurology and Geriatric.
• Assess patients in a logical and sequential manner, generating and testinga hypothesis
• Analyse patients' problems directly related to the conditions referred, demonstrating sound clinical reasoning
• Plan and deliver individualised treatment, reflecting current available scientific evidence, ensuring patient safety and effectiveness of intervention
• Monitor patients' progress throughout treatment, ensure accurate documentation and compliance to confidentiality requirements.
• Participate actively as a member of the care team via attending relevant ward/unit rounds, clinics, meetings, and in research and work improvement activities.
• Contribute to learning and growth through active participation in departmental clinical education and clinical training activities.
• Supervise and facilitate learning of support staff/students/junior staff/peers, as required.
• Oversee Therapy Assistants on performance dutiesto ensure safe and effective treatment.

Job Requirements

• Preferably Diploma/Bachelor/Masters/Doctoral Degree in Physiotherapy
