Job summary

Job Description

You will work in a GMP-certified facility and is responsible for the preparation of sterile and non-sterile extemporaneous pharmaceutical products for patients. Your scope of work will include verifying formulations for preparation, reconciling preparation steps, checking and releasing prepared products with appropriate documentation. You will also participate in quality assurance activities to ensure cleanroom facility and processes fulfil GMP requirements. In addition, you will be involved in staff training in areas such as cleanroom practice, quality assurance, aseptic dispensing techniques and maintenance of facilities/ equipment to ensure the safety and quality of products prepared.

In addition, you will be part of a multidisciplinary Nutrition Support Team promoting the maintenance and/or restoration of optimal nutrition status through design and modification of individualized treatment plans. On a daily basis, you will be providing direct patient care, including patient assessment, formulation of feeding regimen, clinical monitoring and identification of drug-nutrient interactions. This includes active participation in regular inpatient clinical rounds and/or ambulatory care clinics, You will also communicate timely and accurate drug information, and provide education to the general public, patients, students, and fellow healthcare workers on matters pertaining to safe and effective medication use. Your research efforts in clinical and/or translational areas will advance the knowledge base in your speciality area. You will expected to attain US Board Certification in Nutrition support and obtain privileging rights to prescribe Total Parenteral Nutrition in the hospital.
