Job summary

worq ai seeks a dynamic Senior/Staff Nurse for its Operating Theatre team. You will be a key member of the surgical team, delivering precise perioperative care and contributing to patient outcomes.

The role covers pre-, intra-, and post-operative duties, supervision of junior staff, and strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control. SNB registration is required; perioperative advanced diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing approved by the SNB.
• Advanced Diploma in Perioperative Nursing (or equivalent) preferred.
• Able to perform rotating shifts (including night shifts, weekends, and on-call duties).
• Strong critical thinking, high attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative Preparation: prepare OR, equipment, supplies and infusions; check equipment for safety.
• Intra-Operative Care: assist surgeons, pass instruments and sterile items; maintain counts per protocol.
• Post-Operative Care: monitor PACU patients and document perioperative progress.
• Supervision: guide junior nurses and nursing students; act as shift lead when required.
• Infection control: uphold aseptic technique and infection control standards.
