Job summary

Vanguard in Singapore seeks an experienced Oracle DBA to support CIM and manufacturing systems. You will handle L1/L2 DBA tasks, perform RMAN backups, and ensure high availability while optimizing performance.

The role involves scripting for automation and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet SLAs. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience, strong RMAN/AWR/ADDM skills, and familiarity with expdp/impdp and partitioning.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in production environments.
• Experience managing L1/L2 DBA tasks (incident handling, monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery).
• Strong RMAN, AWR/ASH/ADDM, SQL tuning and Oracle performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with expdp/impdp, partitioning, advanced compression, LOBs and related Oracle features.
• Familiarity with scripting (Shell, Python) for automation of DBA tasks.

Responsibilities

• Act as Oracle DBA for CIM and related manufacturing systems.
• Ensure BAU support activities in line with SLAs.
• Perform backup and recovery using RMAN and database cloning.
• Use Oracle utilities such as expdp/impdp, partitioning, and LOB management.
• Conduct performance tuning using SPM, hints, and SQL Tuning Advisor.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high availability of fab systems.
• Maintain technical documentation and share knowledge with junior staff.
