Job summary

Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation in Singapore is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to manage production databases and provide BAU support for CIM and manufacturing systems.

The role covers backup/recovery with RMAN, performance tuning (SPM/SQL tuning), monitoring, and incident management. Collaboration with data teams and application/infrastructure groups is essential to ensure high availability and point-in-time recoveries.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in production environments.
• Experience managing L1/L2 DBA tasks including incident handling and root cause analysis.
• Strong knowledge of RMAN, AWR/ASH/ADDM, and Oracle performance optimization techniques.
• Practical experience with expdp/impdp, partitioning, and LOBs.
• Familiarity with scripting for automation (Shell, Python).

Responsibilities

• Act as Oracle DBA for CIM and related manufacturing systems.
• Provide BAU support in line with SLAs.
• Perform monitoring, session management, and tuning; handle incidents and root cause analysis.
• Backup and recovery using RMAN; database cloning as needed.
• Collaborate with internal big data teams to ensure efficient data flow and high availability.
