Job summary

rrecruiter int pte. ltd. is seeking an experienced Optical Engineer to design, develop and optimize optical/vision systems for industrial imaging and automated inspection. You will lead design transfer and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires hands-on semiconductor equipment design experience and strong knowledge of optics, with responsibilities spanning R&D to mass production support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Optics Engineering or related field required.
• Strong knowledge of optical path design, lens selection and assembly.
• Hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment design and development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze, and optimize optical/vision systems for industrial imaging and automated inspection.
• Lead optical design, project scheduling, and design transfer activities.
• Independently develop new optical modules and review junior engineers’ designs.
• Lead root cause analysis and troubleshoot technical issues from R&D to mass production.
• Translate customer requirements into design specifications and assess design feasibility.
• Provide technical solutions and mentor junior engineers through coaching.

Job Description:

• Design, develop, analyze, and optimize optical/vision systems for industrial imaging and automated inspection.

• Handle optical module assembly, testing, and customer buy-off.

• Drive product and process improvements and maintain optical documentation.

• Lead root cause analysis and troubleshoot technical issues from R&D to mass production.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Company.

• Lead optical design, project scheduling, and design transfer activities.

• Independently develop new optical modules and review junior engineers’ designs.

• Conduct design evaluations and prepare technical analysis reports.

• Develop strong knowledge of machine operation and working principles.

• Translate customer requirements into design specifications and assess design feasibility.

• Provide technical solutions and mentor junior engineers through coaching and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• Degree or above in Optics Engineering or related field.

• Strong knowledge of optical path design, lens selection, and assembly.

• Experience in modelling and simulation, optical components, and testing equipment.

• Hands-on experience in semiconductor equipment design and development.
