Job description

Our client is an international freight and shipping company. They are currently looking for a Senior Operations (Sea Freight) to join their expanding team.

Responsibilities:

1. Handle high level queries and operational orders for Singapore, as well as X Trade business for Overseas Offices, Clients and Agents.
2. Negotiate rate levels with agents, carriers, and transport companies.
3. Handle high level shipping quotes and maintain freight rate management.
4. Ensure shipping processes are being adhered to and a high level of service is maintained.
5. CargoWise system upkeep and order creations.
6. Ensure systems are kept up to date throughout the process (CargoWise).
7. Quoting and Invoicing of shipments as well as QC of these activities.
8. Agent relationship building and upkeep.
9. Relationship building and management.
10. Statistical understanding and reporting of volumes and trade lanes.
11. Mentor new team members.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 5-10 years experience in Logistics.
2. Knowledge of Imports / Exports / General Logistics / Warehousing / Customs / Rate Understanding.
3. Seafreight knowledge (Importing and Exporting), Consolidations, Negotiations.
