POSITION: Senior / Operations Engineer, Transmission

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role supports Transmission Operations by providing 24x7 engineering support for operation and maintenance, aligned with the business strategy.

• Operate and maintain company's and external customers' TV and Radio transmission equipment
• Perform first-line maintenance on optical links, microwave links, TV and radio transmitters, programme input equipment, etc.
• Oversee maintenance of M&E equipment such as diesel generators, UPS, electrical switchboards, and facilities systems such as fire alarms and security systems
• Carry out Business Continuity Plans
• Perform heavy TV and Radio transmitter maintenance under supervision of maintenance engineers
• Conduct remote monitoring for DTV remote sites and provide fire line support, reporting issues to the maintenance team if unresolved remotely
• Log and report daily activities in the PC system
• Comply with Cyber Security Policies
• Possess a valid Class 3 driving license and be able to drive the company vehicle to provide staff ferry services

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma/Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering
• Preferably 2 years of relevant work experience
• Fresh diploma holders with relevant educational background will be considered for junior positions
• Ability to work on 3 rotating shifts
• Good knowledge/experience in:
• Radio/TV Engineering and standards
• Radio/TV transmission
• Networking or Cybersecurity
• OHASA Standards
• Good team player with the ability to work under pressure
