Job summary

United Overseas Bank Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Senior Officer to support operational efficiency and compliance frameworks. You will execute daily activities, help implement new processes, and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

You will review documents, prepare reports for management, and participate in audits while collaborating across departments to improve workflows. Mentorship of junior team members is part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, preferably in an operations or compliance-related role.
• Strong understanding of banking products, services, and operational processes.
• Familiarity with relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor daily operational activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct thorough reviews of documents and transactions to ensure compliance with internal policies, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and analyze reports for management, highlighting key trends, issues, and recommendations.
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with various departments to resolve operational issues and improve cross-functional workflows.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in existing processes and propose mitigation strategies.
