About the Department

Established in 1986, UOB Asset management (UOBAM), a wholly-owned subsidiary of United Overseas Bank, is the Asian asset manager in the region with award-winning investment expertise across different asset classes.

UOBAM is headquartered in Singapore and has an extensive presence in Asia with regional business and investment offices in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brunei, Taiwan and Japan. Our network also includes UOB Islamic Asset Management.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an energetic individual who is passionate about institutional business and has an aspiration to develop his/her career in the institutional business space. This individual must be a team player who is keen to play an active role in growing the SG institutional business. Desired personal traits include unwavering interest in excellent client service, ability to navigate through the emerging space, able to multitask effectively and collaborate with colleagues across the organization.

Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responds to clients’ enquiries, in partnership with RMs, as the day-to-day contact for all relationship servicing activities, including but not limited to
    • Ad-hoc enquiries and in-depth search of information regarding portfolios and operational related requests.
    • Client enquiries from prospecting, on-boarding to client servicing.
  • Plays a proactive role in providing timely and accurate regular and ad-hoc client communication and reports.
  • Ensures client documentation is updated on a timely basis and maintains on-going internal monitoring.
  • Arranges and coordinates client portfolio meetings including internal preparation leading to the meetings.
  • Provides administrative support to the SGI team; including but not limited to the following:
  • Maintains accurate CRM database covering client contacts, call reports on timely basis.
    • Organizes team meetings, takes minutes and monitors and tracks progress of follow-up actions (check-control role, working with SGI head).
    • Assists with event preparation.
    • Manages team diaries and books client meetings.
  • Works closely with other departments on client related matters and assists in any ad-hoc projects as required (ad-hoc projects to be approved by SGI head).
  • Identifies business opportunities, undertake some basic cross selling/ introduction and refer to the respective SGI team members.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related discipline from a well-reputed university.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, preferably in asset management, institutional client servicing, or relationship management support.
  • MAS representative license (Good to have. Otherwise, sponsorship will be provided for successful individual).

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin (advantageous).
  • Strong client servicing and relationship management skills with a genuine interest in delivering excellent service.
  • Ability to build trust and confidence with clients and strengthen client relationships through ongoing dialogue and interactions.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, meetings, and follow-ups efficiently.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; able to work across different teams and departments.
  • Resourceful, able to work independently and in a small team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience using CRM tools for maintaining records and reporting.
  • Basic knowledge or interest in investment products, markets, and institutional client needs.

Additional Experience

  • Experience handling client onboarding, servicing processes, and portfolio-related documentation is a plus.
