We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working outdoors to join our team as field officers for the Sisters’ Islands Marine Park. You will support the Marine Park team with visitor management and facilities monitoring at the Sisters’ Islands and serve as a Marine Park ambassador. You will play an active role in engaging visitors to share information about the park and educating visitors on responsible behaviour to ensure they have an enriching and enjoyable experience. You will also assist in various biodiversity monitoring activities as well as outreach and education programmes on the islands.
[What you will be working on]
Educate visitors on adhering to park rules and regulations
Conduct regular inspections of Marine Park facilities and amenities
Work closely with the appointed Marine Park maintenance contractors to ensure timely upkeep of all park areas
Monitor visitor numbers and activity preferences at the Marine Park to gain insights to improve park management and visitor experience
Provide daily and/or weekly updates for park management
[What we are looking for]
Relevant working experience in visitor management, conducting outreach and educational programmes and experience in site supervision preferred
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
A meticulous, resourceful, and self-driven team player who is able to work independently
Enjoy working in an outdoor environment and comfortable working with a diverse group of people i.e. contractors, volunteers, members of public
Willing to work on weekends and after office hours
