A leading financial services firm seeks an experienced IT support specialist. You will be responsible for providing IT assistance, managing cybersecurity, and ensuring the smooth operation of trading platforms. Ideal candidates should have relevant experience in a financial context and strong technical skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin.
Responsibilities:
Provide IT support: With the support of IT managed services client, provide day-to-day IT support to all staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Enhance cybersecurity: Implement best practices, maintain accurate and up-to-date records of system configurations and troubleshooting protocols.
Manage IT infrastructure: To ensure smooth operation of trading platforms and market connectivity. Liaise with the trading desk and business teams to ensure platform performance aligns with trading operations and requirements. Assist in deploying new releases, upgrades or patches to the platform.
Client Management: To effectively guide client through platform technical issues, a systematic troubleshooting approach and providing helpful resources. Prepare and deliver training materials or sessions to educate clients on platform features and updates.
Any other ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Diploma/degree in a technical discipline.
At least 2 years’ proven work experience in IT or similar support roles, preferably in a financial or trading environment.
Strong knowledge of trading platforms, order management system (OMS)and related financial technologies.
Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain technical issues/concepts to the vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Hands on experience with platforms will be an advantage: CQG, MT4/5, TT, BLOOMBERG, FIS, FLEXTRADE and Single Bank Platforms.
Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin for effective communication with Chinese counterparts in Taiwan Head Office.
May require occasional work outside of normal business hours or weekends to address critical platform issues.
