A leading firm in Singapore is seeking a Compliance Officer to support AML compliance efforts. The successful candidate will conduct post-transaction reviews, manage KYC file reviews, and deliver training sessions. This role requires substantial experience in AML/CFT compliance within a corporate or banking environment.
Conduct post-transaction reviews and analysis, and prepare detailed reports to support AML compliance efforts.
Perform sample testing on the CRM AML Filtering System to ensure its effectiveness and accuracy.
Execute second line of defense (LOD) reviews of Know Your Customer (KYC) files to ensure adherence to internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Support the Head of Compliance in updating and maintaining compliance-related policies and procedural manuals.
Assist in drafting internal memorandums and communications for senior management.
Deliver Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training sessions to enhance awareness and compliance across the organization.
Provide support in regulatory compliance tasks, including maintaining registers such as the Gift and Entertainment Register and Customer Complaints Register.
Undertake additional compliance-related duties as assigned by the Head of Compliance.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Professional Knowledge: Familiarity with MAS Notice 626 is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience: 5–10 years of experience in AML/CFT compliance, ideally within a corporate or private banking environment.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of AML/CFT frameworks, including transaction monitoring processes.
Soft Skills:
Independent thinker with strong organizational skills.
Effective team player with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Patient, detail-oriented, and capable of managing tasks in a structured and compliant manner.
