Job summary

Flexport is seeking an experienced Ocean Freight professional to manage a sizeable Ocean P&L for a district, scaling volume and optimizing yield across markets.

You will drive trade strategy, tailor go-to-market plans, and interface with clients while collaborating with District GMs, Sales, and Procurement to secure regional and global opportunities. The role requires traveling regionally and delivering revenue growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Ocean Freight experience at a top freight forwarder or carrier.
• Strong market intelligence and client interfacing skills.
• Ability to travel regionally.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a sizeable Ocean P&L for your district, scaling volume and increasing yield.
• Drive trade strategy execution and support the commercial team with market intelligence and client interfacing.
• Collaborate with District GMs, Sales, Business Development and Account Management to pursue LoB growth.
• Review the Sales pipeline in Salesforce to define action plans and direct Sales toward opportunities.
• Own tenders and RFQs for your district to secure regional and global clients.
