Job description

Overview

You will be responsible for providing occupational therapy in inpatient and/or outpatient settings in an integrated general hospital. You will participate in administration, clinical supervision, research supervision, and professional education as required.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assess and manage patients referred for occupational therapy independently.
  2. Implement appropriate treatment plans and comply with clinical standards.
  3. Provide timely reviews of patients in the continuum of care.
  4. Document patients' progress and records accurately.
  5. Manage and supervise C-reg/junior OTs where applicable.
  6. Involve in administrative duties such as charging and statistics collation.
  7. Communicate and collaborate with other healthcare team members in a multidisciplinary team.
  8. Participate and assist in managing clinical and/or service initiatives.
  9. Assist in providing clinical education to occupational therapy students.
  10. Contribute to departmental in-service training programs and hospital educational talks.

Requirements

  • Recognized Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Interest in working in areas such as Geriatrics, Neurology, Orthopedics (including hand therapy), and Palliative Care; prior experience in any of these areas is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work well in a team and independently.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office.
