Senior Network Security Engineer

Description

• Designs, configures, implements, and maintains all network hardware and software, including routers, switches (Layer 2&3), firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to ensure optimal network efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain clear documentation of network architecture, configurations, and processes, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of network security systems to ensure strong protection against evolving threats including platform upgrades and changes.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to detect security gaps and recommend enhancements to improve the organization's overall cybersecurity.
• Responsible for planning and delivering all security-related training across the organization.

Profile

• Strong knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, trends, and modern security concepts and technologies.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting networking and system issues, such as routing, NAT, VLAN, Multicast, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, Active Directory, LDAP, RADIUS, SNMP, Syslog, SMTP, TLS, and SSH.

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIA GCIH, GCFA, GCFE or equivalent would be preferred.
