Responsibilities:
- Undertake projects and operations related to network and security systems including provisioning, installation, configuration, administration, monitoring and maintenance.
- Possess deep expertise in routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
- Plan, design, deploy, and enhance WLAN and wireless networks, collaborating closely with vendors, managers, and engineers.
- Install and troubleshoot Cisco wireless networks, including Wireless Controllers, Access Points, Wireless Network Management tools, DNAC, Cisco Switches, and Routers.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, such as Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, or Checkpoint, ensuring optimal security standards.
- Work alongside the security team to assess threats, resolve issues, and adhere to industry security protocols.
- Utilize testing and diagnostic tools for equipment assessment and optimization.
- Oversee network administration and maintenance while continuously optimizing overall performance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users on network-related inquiries, troubleshooting, and issue resolution, escalating cases when necessary.
- Implement configuration changes for clients in alignment with change management processes.
- Train and mentor in-house engineers on wireless technologies and provide support for non-technical personnel.
- May need to be on standby with on-call availability with varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays during critical cutover or L3 incident management
Required Skills:
- Education - Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience.
- At least 2 years in project delivery and 2 years in operational support.
- Design, implementation, and support of network infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of network architecture, Wireless LAN, security, routers, switches, provisioning, firewalls, monitoring and overall security protocols.
- Strong understanding of rules, policies, ports, blocks, and VPN technologies.
- Hands-on experience with networking solutions, including Cisco/Meraki, HPe, Huawei routers and switches, DNAC, ISE, Clearpass, CheckPoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent security solutions.
- Proficiency in Cisco and HPe Aruba Wireless solutions.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Demonstrated project management experience, overseeing multiple projects / sites simultaneously.
Preferred Certifications & Additional Expertise:
- Certifications such as CCNP (Enterprise), CCNP (Security), CCIE, HCIA, HCIP, HPe Aruba ACA/ACP, PCNSE, NSE, ITIL etc.
- Knowledge of Datacenter, WLAN, and WAN technologies.
