Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking a Senior Network Engineer (Programme Support) to provide network architecture design, configuration, and technical support for programme execution at Jurong East, Singapore. The role involves system integration testing, deployment, and ensuring infrastructure meets requirements in defence and critical projects.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in network design and troubleshooting, is familiar with Layer 2/3 networking, and holds CCNA or higher

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain network architecture designs and technical solutions for programme requirements.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
• Support programme activities including CDRs, IRs, LRs, PMRs, PIT, SBIT, platform integration and testing.
• Develop and execute network test procedures and verification activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical reports, network diagrams, and engineering documentation.

As a Senior Network Engineer (Programme Support), you will be responsible for providing network architecture design, network configuration, and technical support for programme execution. This role includes supporting system integration activities, testing, deployment, and acceptance phases to ensure network infrastructure meets operational and programme requirements.

Network Architecture & Design

• Develop and maintain network architecture designs and technical solutions for programme requirements.


• Review and recommend network topologies, routing, switching, and security configurations.


• Produce and maintain network design documentation, interface specifications, and implementation plans.


• Support network troubleshooting, optimization, and lifecycle management activities.

Network Configuration & Implementation

• Configure, deploy, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure.


• Perform network integration, validation, and configuration management.


• Support issue investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions during implementation and testing.

Testing & Acceptance

• Develop and execute network test procedures and verification activities.


• Support system verification, validation, and acceptance activities.


• Document test results, deficiencies, and resolution actions.


• Work closely with project teams, vendors, customers, and stakeholders during test and acceptance phases.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain technical reports, network diagrams, configuration records, and engineering documentation.


• Provide regular progress updates and technical inputs for programme reviews and project meetings.


• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, cybersecurity requirements, and project processes.

Qualities We Value

• Knowledge in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.


• Experience in defence, maritime, government, or mission-critical communication systems.


• Familiarity with multi-site network integration and acceptance testing activities.


• Experience working with cross-functional engineering and project teams.


• Hands-on experience in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.


• Knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, routing protocols, switching technologies, firewalls, and network security.


• Experience supporting integration, testing, and acceptance activities in complex programme environments.


• CCNA certification preferred; higher-level networking certifications will be advantageous.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
