Nscale is seeking a Senior Network Engineer based in Singapore to design, deploy, and operate APAC networks behind GPU clusters. You will partner with Deployment to bring up hardware, fabrics, and WAN edge, ensuring production readiness for customers.

You will work closely with teams in Europe and the US, travel across Asia-Pacific, and contribute to automation and repeatable build processes. The role requires strong hands-on expertise and a calm, methodical approach under deadline pressure.

Formación

• 5+ years of network engineering in large-scale data centres, cloud, or HPC.
• Experience at a hyperscaler or major network vendor or equivalent.
• Hands-on routing and switching: BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, ECMP, L2/L3.
• Experience deploying cluster networks with InfiniBand/RoCE.

About The Role

We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer to build and bring up the networks behind Nscale's GPU clusters across Asia-Pacific. Based in Singapore, you'll join our Deployment organisation, a build org that owns every step from hardware arrival on site through to customer acceptance.

This is a hands-on engineering role at an early stage of our APAC expansion. You'll take network designs into production: configuring and validating cluster fabrics, front-end networks, and WAN edge, troubleshooting issues during bring-up, and making sure every build is ready for customers. You'll work closely with colleagues in Europe and the US, so some flexibility across time zones is part of the job. The role involves regular travel to sites and partners across the region.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deploy, configure, and validate high-performance Ethernet and InfiniBand fabrics for large GPU clusters at our APAC sites.
• Bring up front-end, storage, and management networks and WAN edge connectivity for new sites and expansions in the region.
• Work with carriers, colocation providers, and IXPs across APAC to deliver circuits, cross-connects, and peering.
• Run network acceptance testing and performance validation ahead of customer handover.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across routing, switching, optics, and cabling during build and early life.
• Apply Nscale's global reference designs and build standards, and feed back what you learn in the field to Network Architecture.
• Build and improve automation for provisioning, configuration, and validation.
• Partner with Technical Program Managers, Data Centre Operations, and vendors to keep builds on schedule.
• Write clear runbooks and documentation so builds are repeatable across sites and regions.

About You

• 5+ years of network engineering experience in large-scale data centre, cloud, or HPC environments.
• Experience at a hyperscaler or major network vendor (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, Oracle/OCI, Cisco) or a comparable large-scale network.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of routing and switching: BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, ECMP, and L2/L3 data centre design.
• Experience deploying and operating cluster networks, ideally including InfiniBand or RoCE fabrics.
• Familiarity with the APAC data centre and carrier landscape, including working with regional providers.
• Practical experience with network automation (Python, Ansible, or similar).
• Calm, methodical troubleshooter who can work under deadline pressure on live builds.
• Willingness to travel across Asia-Pacific as needed.

Nice to Have

• Experience building networks for GPU clusters or AI training environments.
• Familiarity with HPC topologies (Fat Tree, Rail) and 400G/800G optics.
• Experience with SONiC, Cumulus, or other open networking platforms.
• WAN, subsea or long-haul fibre, peering, or DWDM experience.
• Experience standing up infrastructure in a new region or market.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, or NVIDIA networking certifications.
