Job summary

Wesco in Singapore is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and optimize our LAN/WAN/Wireless environment. You will monitor networks, install and maintain switches/routers, and collaborate with vendors to select top-class solutions.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on Cisco experience, familiarity with MPLS and cloud-based services, and a commitment to providing around-the-clock connectivity. Bachelors degree is required, CCNA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• CCNA routing and switching certification preferred.
• 3–5 years hands-on Cisco switching, routing and wireless hardware experience.
• 3–5 years experience with EIGRP, BGP, MPLS and other routing protocols.
• 1–3 years experience with cloud-based services.
• 3–5 years overall IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install and maintain network Switches, Routers and Security Hardware.
• Interface with users, consultants, technical teams, and vendors to determine top class network hardware and software for deployment.
• Support complex LAN/WAN networks throughout the organization.
• Assist in maintaining networking infrastructure including routers, switches, APs, VPN, and data center environments.
• Serve as troubleshooter on Local and Wide Area Network problems.
• Analyze, evaluate and make recommendations regarding new technology and trends to solve corporate needs.
• Perform installations, upgrades and support of other network hardware and software.
• Create and maintain technical documents for the network.
• Provide 24/7 support of the network.
• Continuous improvement of the overall network environment to enhance reliability, availability, and functionality.
