Job description

Our client is a well-established financial institution and is in the market to hire a Senior Network Engineer (2 years contract - renewable) to join their core technology team due to expansion of business.

This team will be responsible for mission-critical systems, ensuring operational continuity, disaster recovery readiness, and ongoing infrastructure enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end network operations across production, DR, and testing environments
  • Oversee upgrades, security hardening, backups, and renewal of critical components
  • Support infrastructure-related projects, including implementation and go-live support
  • Conduct network performance tuning and capacity planning
  • Execute changes via formal CAB processes and maintain accurate documentation
  • Investigate incidents and proactively resolve network-related problems
  • Participate in disaster recovery drills and ensure high system availability

Requirements:

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in network administration within a regulated or high-stakes environment
  • Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, NAC, DNS, and load balancers
  • CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, CCSE, PCNSA, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE (up to level 4)
  • Familiarity with data center operations is a plus
