Job summary

SIMBA TELECOM PTE. LTD. is seeking a Network Engineer with 4+ years of experience to design, operate, and optimize XGS-PON and transmission CWDM/DWDM networks. The role involves leading testing, project work, and coordinating with partners to ensure smooth daily operations.

The candidate should have a degree in Electrical/Telecom Eng or equivalent, and preferably CCNA certification. Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills are essential, with 24/7 standby as part of the duties.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of working experience as a Network Engineer.
• Bachelor Degree or Diploma specialized in Electrical, Telecommunication Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in XGS-PON and transmission CWDM/DWDM network engineering, design, operation, and optimization tasks.
• Experienced in the XGS-PON and transmission CWDM, DWDM network products from Huawei, Nokia and others.
• CCNA or equivalent certification will be a bonus.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Responsible and independent character.
• Great team player.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, operate and maintain XGS-PON and CWDM/DWDM networks.
• Lead network testing and acceptance to ensure quality standards.
• Assess network and identify improvement areas.
• Execute network change requests.
• Lead projects for XGS-PON and transmission integration, monitoring, maintenance and optimization.
• Coordinate with partners to ensure daily operation and site implementation.
• Provide ETA forecasts for XGS-PON/transmission readiness aligned with project plans.

Job description

The key duties and responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

• Responsible for the design, plan, operation and maintenance of XGS-PON and transmission CWDM, DWDM network

• Lead the network testing procedures and acceptance tasks, ensuring adherence to quality standards

• Assess the network and identify areas of improvement

• Perform the network change requests

• Lead and participate in various projects for the XGS-PON and transmission network service integration, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links

• Liaising with internal/external partner to ensure daily operation and site implementation are smoothly executed

• Providing forecast ETA for XGS-PON and transmission infrastructure readiness in align with stages of project plan.
