Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining our enterprise IT landscape across systems, networks, and cloud platforms.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain IT systems, network infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Ensure system and network security, high availability, and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure solutions.
- Install, configure, and update hardware and software components.
- Implement and maintain strong security controls to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.
- Manage backup, recovery, and redundancy strategies.
- Provide Tier-2 technical support and assist in root cause analysis.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely issue resolution and delivery.
- Support IT compliance audits and address findings through remediation efforts.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Continuously improve operational efficiency and system reliability through automation and optimization.
Key Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar IT infrastructure or systems engineering role.
- Strong expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
- Experience with enterprise-grade hardware and network solutions (e.g., firewalls, switches, wireless access points).
- Familiarity with technologies from vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, Aruba, or similar.
- Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices.
- Hands-on experience in three or more areas: Windows Server, Networking (LAN/WAN/Wireless), Firewalls, VMware, AWS, Office 365, Active Directory, Identity Management (e.g., OKTA), or monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds).
- Knowledge of IT compliance standards, cybersecurity practices, and audit readiness.
- Project management or ITIL experience is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A collaborative team player who can communicate effectively across diverse teams.
