Job summary

ICON OUTSOURCING in Singapore is seeking an experienced network engineer to perform administration across production, DR and test environments, handling routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and other security gear to keep critical services running.

The role demands 5+ years in financial/mission-critical settings, CCNA/CCNP or CCSA, and strong analytical problem-solving skills; 24x7 shift coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience managing network and security equipment in financial institutions or mission-critical environments.
• Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
• Demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform network administration in production, DR, test environments comprising network and security equipment.
• Perform hardening, upgrade and enhancement on IT infrastructure components.
• Monitor, assess, schedule and implement patches for network and product-specific security.
• Monitor obsolescence of IT infrastructure components (network systems).
• Renew passwords and certificates for network systems.
• Implement network backups to ensure data recoverability and business continuity.
• Execute disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure and conduct DR testing and switchover exercises.
• Provide second-level network support and resolve incidents per SLA.
• Perform problem diagnosis on incidents and propose and implement preventive measures.

Job description

• Perform network administration in a heterogeneous environment (production, DR, test) comprising of network and security equipment, telecommunication links.
• Perform hardening, upgrade and enhancement on IT infrastructure components.
• Monitor, assess, schedule and implement network, and product-specific security vulnerability patches.
• Monitor obsolescence of IT infrastructure components (network systems).
• Monitor expiry and perform renewal of network system password and certificates.
• Implement network backups operations to ensure data recoverability and business continuity.
• Execute disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure (network systems) and conduct regular disaster recovery (DR) testing and component switchover exercises to ensure usability of standby and DR equipment.
• 24x7 support is required (Need to work in 5 x shifts).
• Provide second-level network support and resolve incidents and problems in accordance with the established Service Level Agreement (SLA)..
• Perform problem diagnosis on incidents and propose & implement measures to prevent recurrence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in managing network and security equipment such as Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPN, Load Balancer, DNS, NAC in financial institutions or mission‑critical environment.
• Proven hands‑on network engineering experience.
• Demonstrate good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

• Open to work in 24X7 Shift role.
• CCNA / CCNP / CCSA Certification required.
• 1st Shift - 7am - 4.00pm (Monday to Friday)
• 2nd Shift - 2.00pm - 11.00pm (Monday to Friday)
• 3rd Shift - 10.30pm - 7.30am (Monday to Friday)
• 4th Shift - 7.30am - 7.30pm (Sat - Sun)
• 5th Shift - 7.30pm - 7.30am (Sat-Sun)
