Job summary

Avensys Consulting in Singapore seeks an experienced Senior .NET Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and APIs. You will work with C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core to deliver robust software solutions in an enterprise setting.

You will design RESTful services, use SQL Server, and participate in Agile ceremonies while mentoring junior developers and ensuring code quality with unit tests and best practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development in enterprise applications.
• Strong C# and .NET Core experience.
• Proficient with SQL Server and Entity Framework Core.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and testing.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum practices.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Developer with strong hands-on expertise in .NET Core / ASP.NET Core to join our technology team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications and APIs.

The role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, excellent problem-solving skills, and solid experience working with modern Microsoft technologies in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.
• Develop scalable and secure RESTful APIs and web services.
• Work extensively with .NET Core / .NET 6/7/8 and modern application development frameworks.
• Translate business and technical requirements into robust software solutions.
• Design and implement reusable, maintainable, and high-performance application components.
• Work with SQL Server and develop complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and database integrations.
• Implement application integration with internal and external systems through APIs and messaging mechanisms.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, design principles, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Write unit and integration tests and ensure high-quality code delivery.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, DevOps Engineers, QA teams, and other developers.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to application performance optimization, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Support deployment, production releases, and post-production issue resolution.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the development team.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• 6+ years of software development experience, preferably in enterprise application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET.
• Strong and recent experience in .NET Core / ASP.NET Core.
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software development principles.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core / Entity Framework.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Good understanding of LINQ, asynchronous programming, dependency injection, middleware, and configuration management.
• Experience with Git and source-code management.
• Good understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean code practices.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
