Job description

Our customer is a leading bank headquartered in Singapore, implementing a front-to-back integrated platform for straight-through processing and risk management.

This is a multi-year initiative involving various concurrent projects, including new product initiatives, entity roll-outs, and regulatory compliance.

The project you will be working on aims to implement market-risk FRTB IMA for the customer by 2025. This presents a great opportunity for the successful candidate to gain or extend in-depth knowledge of FRTB IMA.

Responsibilities

As part of the GMET Front Office and Product Control practice, the analyst will be responsible for:

  1. Analyzing stakeholder requirements, formulating design and development proposals to enhance global markets technology efficiency and meet front office expectations.
  2. Delivering and supporting the Global Markets platform (Murex), managing the quality of functional delivery, and ensuring the implementation and deployment of deliverables.
  3. Performing various levels of testing for assigned deliverables and participating in formal release cycles (SIT/UAT).
  4. Contributing to and assisting existing support teams in resolving requests or issues with Front Office, P&L, Market Data, and booking issues.
  5. Interacting with stakeholders to develop practical domain roadmaps towards the future state, considering business, technical, and delivery constraints.
  6. Communicating principles, standards, vision, and roadmaps to stakeholders, while proactively addressing questions or concerns.
  7. Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders in both business and IT to define and deliver high-quality solutions.

Mandatory Skills Description
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Finance, or a related science-oriented field.
  • Knowledge of the most common traded financial instruments is essential.
  • Must be detail-oriented, quick learner, and a self-starter.
  • At least 6+ years of experience as a Front Office/Product Control System Analyst or Consultant in a leading trading platform.
  • Previous experience with flagship trading systems (preferably Murex) is an advantage.
  • Experience in delivering projects within financial services, especially investment banking and risk management.
  • Solid experience in gathering and writing requirements and functional specifications within a project framework.
