Job summary

ABS Connect is seeking a skilled Mobile Software Developer focused on native Android or iOS apps. You will design, develop, test, and support high-quality mobile applications used in enterprise environments, collaborating with backend, QA, and DevOps teams.

The role emphasizes modern mobile architectures such as MVVM or Clean Architecture, REST API integration, security, CI/CD practices, and rigorous testing. Strong hands-on experience and a focus on performance are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' hands-on native mobile development.
• Experience in either Android or iOS development.
• MVVM or Clean Architecture experience.
• REST API integration, networking, async programming, data storage.
• Security controls: encryption, secure storage, SSL pinning, biometrics.
• Unit/UI testing, debugging, performance optimization.
• Git and CI/CD practices.
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile, code quality, version control.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native mobile apps for Android or iOS.
• Build scalable apps using modern architecture and coding standards.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Implement networking, asynchronous programming, local storage, caching, offline-first features.
• Ensure app security via encryption, secure storage, SSL pinning, biometrics.
• Implement authentication/authorization for mobile apps.
• Develop unit, UI, integration, and regression tests.
• Troubleshoot defects, crashes, and performance bottlenecks.
• Profile performance across devices and OS versions.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold standards.
• Manage source control with Git and build tools (Gradle, Xcode).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
• Collaborate with backend, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
• Provide production support and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to docs and engineering best practices.
