A recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking a Product Manager to oversee the product lifecycle in technology sectors, particularly maritime applications. Job Responsibilities
1. Product Conceptualization
a. Prepare comprehensive product business cases, articulating the value proposition, key features, and product positioning.
b. Continuously assess market needs to identify opportunities for innovation and improvements.
2. Market Research and Opportunity Identification
a. Define target customer segments and map ecosystems to establish strong market links.
b. Conduct thorough analysis of total addressable markets (TAM) and segment-specific growth projections (CAGR).
c. Report on relevant market trends and competitive landscapes across various sectors.
3. Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy Development
a. Design strategies to effectively introduce products to target markets, employing diverse marketing channels and sales strategies.
b. Cultivate strategic relationships and partnerships to magnify market reach and engagement with early adopters.
4. Product Development Lifecycle Management
a. Collaborate with development teams to articulate comprehensive product roadmaps that align with strategic objectives.
b. Evaluate technology readiness levels (TRL) and identify areas requiring additional R&D investment.
c. Forge commercial partnerships with stakeholders involved in satellite manufacturing and technology supply chains.
5. Economic Viability Assessment
a. Conduct comprehensive cost assessments for all phases of product development, including R&D and regulatory compliance.
b. Identify all recurring costs, particularly those related to materials, support, and compliance.
c. Develop pricing strategies and explore various business models to enhance revenue streams (subscription, pay-per-use, etc.).
d. Deliver clear financial projections encompassing revenue, costs, and expected profit margins over a three-year horizon.
6. Technical Feasibility Studies
a. Assess the resource requirements for product development, including skilled labour and manufacturing capabilities.
b. Evaluate the product's scalability potential to ensure it meets growing customer demands and market expansion.
7. Comprehensive Risk Assessment
a. Identify any potential operational barriers, including regulatory approvals and customer adoption issues.
b. Evaluate competitive risks, including threats from existing players and new market entrants.
c. Analyze customer demand fluctuations and market variations that may impact overall projections.
Job requirements
A degree in Engineering, or related field
Proven experience in product management, particularly in technology sectors, is preferred
Experience in managing product lifecycle related to maritime applications
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects concurrently
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to drive product success metrics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with stakeholders at all levels
