Job description

We are looking for a brand-new Senior MEP Director to be in-charge of the organization's data center construction projects. You will be managing various end-to-end projects across multiple scopes, from site selection to establishing your project team members and external partners to eventually oversee the construction process.

The ideal candidate should possess previous MEP design background, as this role will require strong technical knowledge in MEP design, with a bit more emphasis on the mechanical side.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage various green and brown field data center projects, and perform tasks such as site selection, establishing the project team, engaging external consultants, and tender, design, and construction phase.

  • Lead a team of engineers across multiple functions such as engineering studies, site feasibility studies, new technology & construction methodology research.

  • Liaise with management team and stakeholders to prepare necessary documents for data center development through case preparation and presentation.

  • Take the lead in identifying new engineering technology and construction methodology research as part of continuous improvement process to improve the data center's energy and water efficiency, and lower the PUE, WUE and carbon emission.

  • Design, construct and build green and brown field data centers such as creating development plan, identification of land parcels and site planning, finalizing of design with partners, evaluation of power sources, understanding customers’ requirements to ensure on time delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field such as Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, etc.

  • 15-years of working experience with at least 8 years of relevance in data center related field involving data center development and engineering works.

  • Strong M&E background with ability to lead design requirement, identify SPOF, oversee engineering fault analysis and ability to solve complex engineering problems such as cooling, power, etc.
