Overview

The job-holder is responsible to ensure high standards of community care to vulnerable pregnant mothers and their newborn babies under the KidSTAR at NUH program. Medical Social Workers perform a very important role in KidSTART at NUH by conducting home visits in order to perform intake assessments of the family’s social needs, identify risks to the mother and her newborn in order to provide the best community support for these underprivileged families.

They are expected to lead and supervise a team of Case Management Officers in a multi-disciplinary outpatient and community setting. He/She is also expected to work closely with and to provide and receive clinical inputs from the obstetricians, paediatricians, psychiatrists, dietitians, nurses and other members of the multi-disciplinary KidSTART at NUH team. As such, she is responsible for the efficient and effective functioning of their respective teams at KidSTART at NUH.

Job Responsibilities
