Job description

Overview

As a Senior Medical Informatics Specialist, you will provide support for the organization’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. You will also provide assistance to the system build, enhancement and other related services, all aim to provide patient seamless and secured medical information.Your role will support the successful implementation of medication components in new IT systems through the timely delivery of the necessary medication configuration. Support the transition and maintenance of medication configuration in IT systems post-implementation, to ensure smooth day-to-day medication workflows. Apply knowledge in medication attributes, medication systems & end-to-end medication workflow to ensure safe, accurate and appropriate medication configuration. Represent Cluster at relevant committees/workgroups to propose, review and harmonise medication configuration in medication related IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Establish guiding principles and guidelines for medication configuration.

  • Complete medication configuration in a timely manner to support successful implementation.

  • Provide user support during implementation of systems/modules.

  • Troubleshoot and rectify medication configuration issues.

  • Provide out of office hours support when rostered during implementation phase.

  • Engage with and document user requirements.

  • Identify and perform the necessary medication configuration to meet user requirements.

  • Translate and communicate requirements accurately to vendors.

  • Configure and test the medication enhanced functionalities in system.

  • Serve as team representative on Medication task force, workgroup or committee as needed.

  • Optimize, standardize and simplify workflow by applying understanding in medication related processes.

  • Provide guidance to cross-application teams on medication related configuration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, Pharmacy

  • Minimum 3 years of pharmacy working experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proficient in spoken & written English

Preference for applicant with prior experience in:

  • Medication terminology configuration

  • Medication data analytics

  • Report creation using Excel, Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services
