We are looking for a Senior Medical Coding Analyst to join our Service Delivery team within our Technology Enabled Services division. Your job will be to help athenahealth comply with regulations and requirements and to seamlessly deliver Medical Coding service for our clients. But enough about us; let’s talk about you.

You are a passionate individual, coming with good experience in both ambulatory and in patient setting and active coding certification. You take on new challenges without hesitation and take complete ownership of your work. You are someone that learn from mistakes and immediately adjust the plan accordingly, you can adapt to changing your working style in a fast-paced work environment.

The Team: Our Procedural Quality team supports the Service Delivery arm of our Technology Enabled Services division.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform Medical coding related responsibilities and ensure seamless assignment codes to diagnoses and procedures, using ICD (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes
  • Identify and quantify work trends as it may pertain to root cause analysis, etc
  • You take on responsibility for assigned special projects

Typical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • CPC or CCS or Equivalent
  • 3-4 years’ experience in fast paced environment
  • Analytical skills and good communication skills
  • Healthcare RCM knowledge, preferred
