Job summary

Success Human Resource Centre Pte Ltd. in Singapore seeks a Transmission Systems Technician for a 2-year contract at Jalan Boon Lay. You will repair, test and calibrate transmission systems and provide troubleshooting for MRO projects.

Key requirements include Higher/NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical fields with relevant experience, ability to read drawings, and strong communication. Working hours are 7:45am–5:30pm, salary SGD 2,500 monthly, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Higher/ NITEC in Mechanical/ Automotive Engineering with at least 5 – 6 years’ experience.
• Diploma in Mechanical engineering with 2 years of working experience related to Automotive fields or MRO Services will be a bonus.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Good interpersonal & communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace, troubleshoot, test and calibrate transmission systems.
• Provide technical assistance for transmission problems related to MRO.
• Carry out transmission component assembly as per process instructions.
• Modify mechanical parts to correct functional deviations.
• Review and monitor work in progress to ensure compliance with scope and standards.
• Gather and analyse failure patterns to improve MRO for repairs.

Job Responsibilities

• Repair, replace, troubleshoot, test and calibrate variety of Transmission Systems
• Provide technical assistance and resolution for transmission problems related to Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)
• Carry out transmission component assembly accordingly to process instructions
• Modify mechanical parts and assemblies to correct functional deviations
• Qualify testing of transmission according to OEM manuals if applicable.
• Review and monitor work in progress, including field investigations, to ensure compliance with approved scope of works, specifications and standards.
• Gather and analyse failure patterns and trends so to provide MRO enhancement for all levels of repairs
• Attend to customers’ queries and job status reporting

Requirements

• Higher/ NITEC in Mechanical/ Automotive Engineering with at least 5 – 6 years’ experience

• Basic knowledge and perform general repair of engine and driveline component is required
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings
• Able to perform literature searches on the subject area in engine areas

• Ability to present ideas, approach and objectives clearly
• Work under pressure, independent and self-motivated
