Job summary

A leading technology firm in Singapore is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to oversee new designs and enhancements of semiconductor equipment. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Solidworks and full design cycle experience are essential. The role includes providing technical support during critical evaluations with possible international travel.

Qualifications

• 5 years of machine design experience relevant to machinery or high precision automation systems.
• Full design cycle experience from proof of concept through prototyping, development and commercial realization.
• Able to research and analyse design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate feasibility.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for new mechanical design and existing product enhancement.
• Create and maintain Bills of Material and assembly drawings.
• Provide expert technical support during customer evaluations.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for new mechanical design and existing product enhancement and verification test of equipment
• Responsible for implementation, structural analysis, modification and testing of semiconductor equipment based on overall system specifications
• Responsible for all stages in the development cycle from design proposal to production release with well recordkeeping
• Create and maintain Bills of Material; create high quality and assembly drawings; prepare assembly guidelines and requirements
• Provide expert technical support to our field engineers and customers during critical customer evaluation (occasional international travel may be required)
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Precision Engineering or equivalent
• 5 years of machine design experience relevant to machinery or high precision automation systems
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling using Solidworks with certifications such as CSWE and CSWP preferred
• Finite element analysis software experience
• Solid experience in at least two of the following areas (structural and modal analysis, thermal-mechanical analysis or fluid dynamics analysis)
• Full design cycle experience, from proof of concept through prototyping, development and commercial realization
• Able to research and analyse design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and requirements of designs
