Job summary

Fuku on Jurong Island is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for rotating equipment maintenance. You will provide mechanical engineering expertise to support safe, reliable plant operations and develop short-term maintenance plans to achieve operational objectives.

You will troubleshoot equipment, support reliability-centered maintenance, and analyse performance data to identify recurring issues. The role requires SAP familiarity and proactive project coordination in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical engineering experience with rotating equipment maintenance.
• Exposure to plant-based maintenance in chemical, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, or manufacturing.
• Ability to work in outdoor plant environments.
• Strong understanding of plant equipment and utilities.
• Practical knowledge of reliability, troubleshooting and maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with SAP maintenance systems.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
• Able to manage projects and coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with evolving information.
• Proactive, safety-focused, and improvement-driven.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering expertise to support safe, reliable plant operations.
• Develop, implement and monitor short-term maintenance plans.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment to minimise downtime and disruptions.
• Support preventive, corrective and reliability-centered maintenance.
• Analyse equipment data and maintenance history for improvement.
• Conduct RCA and recommend practical solutions to improve reliability.
• Lead or participate in hazard studies and risk assessments.
• Identify improvements to equipment design and plant performance.
• Maintain equipment records and SAP documentation.
• Manage engineering projects from initiation to completion, within budgets and safety standards.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors and vendors.
