Job summary

AUTOMATED MANUFACTURING SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an engineer to design automation manufacturing equipment and sub-systems. You will interface with customers from proposal to commissioning, convert design concepts into detailed drawings, and prepare technical documents.

The role requires a Mechanical/Mechatronics background, 3+ years in factory automation design, and familiarity with DOE/SPC/FMEA; Pro-Engineer knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of factory automation equipment design experience.
• Familiar with DOE, SPC, and FMEA analytical tools.
• Preferably with knowledge of Pro-Engineer (Creo/Pro/Engineer).
• Strong technical background in equipment manufacturing processes and design inputs.
• Good analytical and systematic problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design automation manufacturing equipment and sub-systems based on customer requirements.
• Interface with customers on technical discussions from design proposal to commissioning at site.
• Convert and detail mechanical designs into drawings for assembly.
• Prepare engineering technical documents.
• Ensure designs comply with industry codes, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support Project Manager in project costing and management.
• Assist in selection and procurement of components during RFQ/Design with cost-saving emphasis.
• Assist assembly with manufacturing team to verify function and refine design as needed.
• Involved in onsite installation and post-technical support, locally and overseas.
