Job summary

COENS ENERGY PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (Design) to lead the full mechanical design lifecycle for large-scale Data Centre projects in Singapore.

The role covers concept development, tendering through construction, commissioning, and delivery with strong cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of mechanical engineering experience, with data centre exposure and a proven track record in design reviews, tendering, and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10–15 years of relevant Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Data Centre experience strongly preferred.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual and detailed mechanical design for large, complex projects.
• Develop design solutions considering performance, constructability, cost, schedule, and sustainability.
• Prepare preliminary budgets and cost estimates for mechanical systems.
• Establish and incorporate sustainability objectives across the project lifecycle.
• Review designs for compliance with contractual and client requirements.
• Manage mechanical tender documentation, clarifications, and evaluations.
• Lead design reviews, checks, and progress tracking with leadership.
• Represent engineering in client meetings, workshops, and coordination sessions.
• Identify issues and develop recovery and mitigation plans.
• Provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning.
