Job summary

ONE SEVEN CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our marine and offshore engineering team in Singapore.

You will support the design, engineering, and installation of mechanical systems for new builds and conversions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant shipbuilding/marine/offshore experience.
• Experience with shipyard design processes and project execution.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and classification society requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical equipment specifications for compliance with project requirements.
• Interpret classification society rules and engineering standards for design approvals.
• Develop and review mechanical solutions for propulsion, hydraulics, HVAC, and auxiliary systems.
• Design and review marine piping systems (ballast, cooling, fuel oil, fire protection, etc.).
• Select pumps, valves, and piping materials based on operating conditions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop piping schematics and installation drawings.
• Review interfaces between major equipment and systems for proper integration.
• Support 3D engineering models, clash detection, and routing of systems.
• Prepare MTOs, spools, and fabrication documentation for production.
