Job summary

PaxOcean is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to plan and execute marine electrical projects. You will read technical specs, prepare job lists, schedule work, plan material take-off and manpower for yard men and contractors, and coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely deliveries.

Responsibilities include supervising electricians on site, ensuring safety and discipline, collaborating with ship crews/ETO, recording design modifications, maintaining housekeeping, and delivering projects on

Qualifications

• Read and understand electrical specifications, control circuits and P&ID.
• Deep knowledge of marine and offshore navigation equipment, OSV DP2 system.
• Understanding of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of low tension main and emergency switchboards, including protection devices.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand technical specifications, prepare job lists and work schedules.
• Plan material take-off and manpower for yard workers and contractors.
• Order materials required and coordinate with purchasing for timely delivery.
• During job execution, supervise electricians and provide technical solutions.
• Ensure safety, discipline and welfare for all subordinates.
• Collaborate with ship crews and ETO to meet specs and owner requirements.
• Record modifications with mark‑ups/red-lines for owner approval.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety on board vessels and workshops.
• Minimize material wastage and ensure balance materials are returned to store.
• Prepare and review department documents and audits with line managers.
• Submit completion reports to the owner representative before handover.
• Monitor daily vessel job deployment to achieve targets on time.
• Trace, identify and troubleshoot E&I faults on generators, sensors and DP2 systems.
• Follow Permit to Work system strictly.
