Job summary

Penguin International Limited is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Singapore to deliver high-quality mechanical designs and detailed drawing packages for new-build vessel projects.

You will perform mechanical design calculations, prepare technical specifications, and compile drawings for Classification Society submissions, coordinating with naval architects and electrical engineers to resolve integration issues on hybrid and aluminum vessels.

Qualifications

• Degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant marine/mechanical design experience.
• Experience with classification society rules and shipyard processes.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical design packages, calculations, and vessel piping diagrams.
• Develop technical specifications and design documentation.
• Create and compile drawings for Classification Society submissions.
• Evaluate mechanical equipment and vendor submittals.
• Coordinate with naval architects and other engineers for layouts.
• Provide site support and update drawings during construction and sea trials.
