Job summary

Leica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, invites a Principal/Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join its on-site Singapore team. You will establish, sustain, and optimize assembly processes for safety, quality, delivery, and regulatory compliance while supporting validation, changes, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with preference for Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, Production, or Mechanical.
• Minimum 5 years in Lean manufacturing or production environment, with at least 3 years in medical device manufacturing.
• Knowledge of medical device quality and regulatory requirements, including ISO 13485 and MDSAP.
• Experience with manufacturing process validation, jig/fixture design, FMEA, DOE, and root-cause problem solving.
• Working knowledge of SAP and controlled manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Improve medical device manufacturing performance by monitoring yield, process capability, productivity, and recurring issues, implementing corrective actions.
• Provide day-to-day process and product engineering support for new product design transfers, troubleshooting, and containment.
• Plan, execute, document, and maintain qualification/validation of processes, tools, and equipment; maintain preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate engineering changes and maintain production readiness across documents, materials, tooling, training, SAP data, risk assessments, control plans, routings, and work instructions.
• Develop and sustain standard work and manufacturing playbooks using Lean and Danaher tools; support supplier qualification and audits.
