Senior Manager, Trades

OM Materials (S) Pte Ltd (“OMS”), based in Singapore, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of OM Holdings Limited, handling logistics, procurement, marketing, and distribution activities. With a long history of marketing ores and ferroalloys, OMS possesses an extensive trade network and an edge in connecting raw materials with buyers and users, originally established in the 90s and evolving to a global scale with an Asian focus.

OMS leverages the economies of scale of the Group’s operations to streamline raw material procurement and product sales, supported by comprehensive product knowledge and strong operational expertise in international trade execution.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Frontline sale/purchase execution and risk management;
2. Negotiate and finalize commodity purchases at competitive market prices, ensuring smooth delivery and fulfilment of agreements;
3. Contribute to international sales objectives by providing market insights, and driving strategic plans and reviews;
4. Long term business development, sales planning, and strategy;
5. Manage relationships with buyers, sellers, and service providers;
6. Monitor and analyze commodity market trends and pricing movements;
7. Compile data, conduct research and perform analysis to support business decisions;
8. Ad-hoc traveling as and when required.

Requirements:

1. Degree in relevant discipline, demonstrated academic achievements;
2. Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in related industry;
3. Analytical and strong logical thinker, results oriented;
4. Self-driven team player, a good listener and communicator;
5. Skilled in negotiation, customer engagement, and presentations;
6. Systematic and organized, able to thrive under pressure and situational ambiguity;
7. Excellent written and spoken communication in English and Chinese to liaise with counterparts.
