Job description

What the role is:

The Social Service Systems Office (S3O) under the Operations Planning Division aims to better support vulnerable families and individuals with complex needs and ensures that they can access assistance in a timely and integrated manner. S3O oversees the development of case coordination approaches to address complex needs and works with partners to overcome system-level barriers.

What you will be working on:

You will be part of the S3O team that collaborates with partners, such as policy agencies and Social Service Offices (SSOs), to:
  1. Identify system-level gaps and issues encountered by those with complex needs, e.g., cases that involve multiple agencies or do not fit within conventional policy boundaries;
  2. Resolve systemic issues to ensure complex cases are effectively addressed;
  3. Enhance the comprehensiveness of case data collected.

Responsibilities:

You will be expected to:
  1. Analyze quantitative and qualitative data on complex cases and broader trends to derive insights;
  2. Work with agencies to review policies and processes to resolve systemic issues;
  3. Engage agencies to improve case data collection processes.

What we are looking for:

Functional/Technical competencies:
  • At least 4 years of policy or operations-policy work experience;
  • Experience in the social sector and data analysis is advantageous;
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
