About the role

Leading and managing multiple projects related to the production and development of new process, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.This role involves overseeing project teams from inception through completion, managing budgets and timelines, and coordinating with respective stakeholder.

Your responsibilities
  • Encompasses end-to-end ownership across project lifecycle, starting from conceptualisation, project initiation through to fund approval and subsequent execution stages to handover.
  • Lead & drive site sustainability into medium- and longer-term site business plans, supporting site’s other functions via the coordination of Glidepath and CAPEX for new engineering-led solutions to improving environmental performance. Identify, plan and implement cost-efficient, new engineering-based solutions to achieve environmental targets.
  • Single point of contact for product change projects, understanding linkages to manufacturing strategy, capacity and network.
  • Facilitate innovation and base-business project forecasting and transition management. Support Change Management activities. Work with plant leadership and stakeholders to ensure proper execution and risk mitigation of all projects at the plant level.
  • Coordinate financial benefit calculations for supply resilience & productivity projects. Facilitate true cost analysis for innovation projects in collaboration with Supply Finance team.
  • Engineering & Capital Portfolio Management: Keep site master plan updated with an eye on fit-for-future design. Owns the asset change and Capital portfolio with associated KPIs.
  • Manages the site overall Capital Spend. Implement process that unitizes a broad range of criteria for prioritizing capital spending, e.g. cost, tax implications, initial investment, and resources available.
  • Builds and maintains good relationships inside and outside organization. Provides community interface on strategic areas that affect communities MJN operates in and projects the company’s views to foster good relations with local, national and regulatory agencies.
  • As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, understands the importance of wining as team while demonstrating high levels of personal leadership, self-confidence and effective decision-making capabilities based on collective gain for the site and business.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety quality and regulatory compliance throughout all project phases.
The experience we're looking for
  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering projects / experience in food / pharmaceutical industry with at least 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Experienced in the negotiations and structures of contracts and major agreements.
  • Experience in Automation systems, SCADA, PLC would be advantageous.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects ($200 K - $50 MM).
  • Experienced in project organization development and workforce management.
  • Exposure and understanding on local industry law and regulations.
  • Experienced in factory safety management GMP, ISO 14001, ISO 18000, OSHA standard and familiar with safety, health and environmental laws and regulation.
  • Prior experience/responsibility for a major profit/loss center with capital expense and the criteria selection and prioritization of spending.
  • Previous interactions with a variety of internal clients, such as manufacturing and external service providers.
